For places to stay, there are a lot of private vacation rentals (i.e. Air BnB’s) as well as a couple of hotels. There are a handful of restaurants, and my experience is that they are very good for the most part. Things will likely be more expensive than what you are used to, so be prepared for that. Alaska Airlines is the only major airline that flies into Kodiak, but they fly a full-size jet to Kodiak, and usually have multiple flights to and from Anchorage every day. If you buy tickets ahead of time, round trip tickets are usually around $300 from Anchorage.
